Baptism Day

After Halloween was over we traveled down to Southern California so Elena could be baptized. She wanted to have all her cousins there and we figured it was easier for us to go there then all of them to come to us. She was so beautiful in her white dress and she loved the fact that her Grandma Snickerdoodle made it for her.
Ben and Elena had been practicing for weeks for the big day.

We are so proud of our sweet girl for being such a good example. She has such a strong spirit. We are also so grateful to Ben's family for traveling from Northern California to be apart of this special day. She was really excited to have her Grandpa and Grandma SweetPea be there with her. One of my favorite moments was having her be confirmed, with so many family members there to join in you could hear only the muffeled prayer from her proud Dad. I'm sure within the circle the Spirit was strong and she could feel the love of those men and especially of her Heavenly Father. Elena you have many people in your life that love you, most importantly your Mom and Dad.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was great this year. The kids had fun choosing their favorite costumes. Elena was Hermione(from Harry Potter), Noah was of course Indiana Jones, and Rex was a firefighter.

This was a picture of the kids before the Trick or Treating. They went with our neighbors, Jeremy(Darth Vader) and Emma(Cinderella), and also Makenna(clown) from across the street.

HAPPY 8TH BIRTHDAY ELENA!

My sweet little baby girl is now 8. How fast the time goes by. She has developed into such a young lady. I'm not quite ready for the next few years as she turns into a tween. Hopfully she will continue to always want to wear dresses, play with her brothers, and cuddle up close.
Elena is waiting anxiously for next Sunday when she will be baptized. She is looking forward to seeing her Grandpa's and Grandma's, cousins, and going to Disneyland.

8 Things That Make Elena Special.
1. She is so tender-hearted. Always willing to include anyone and have them feel important.
2. Elena loves her brothers. She likes giving them funny nicknames and being silly with them.
3. She is a huge helper. Always wants to please.
4. She loves school and wants to learn.
5. She loves a good hug and has a hard time letting go.
6. Elena is crafty and creative. Glue, ribbons, scissors, tape and stickers are her best friends.
7. Elena is dedicated. She is not willing to give up before she gets it perfect.
8. Elena is a beautiful girl with a sweet spirit.
Elena, your Mom and Dad want you to know how much we love you and how proud we are of your many accomplishments. You are loved by many and are a wonderful example to those around you.

Pumpkin Patch!

Yes! We do have a pumpkin patch in Las Vegas. We are lucky to live about 2 miles away from the only Orchard in Vegas. Every year I have been meaning to take my kids to the pumpkin patch, but for one reason or another never got around to it. You have to go the first weekend it opens or all the pumpkins are extremely picked through. I was actually on the ball this year and knew what weekend it opened, so last Saturday we got up bright and early and went. I was surprised the patch was as big as it was. The kids had a blast and now for the first time they know that a pumpkin patch does not consist of a big red and white tent, jumphouses, rides, and over-priced $25 + pumpkins. We got 3 medium sized and 1 small pumpkin for $9. Now I am just hoping they will last outside on our porch until Halloween. It was cold this weekend but is supposed to be back to the 80's this week. Got to love the Vegas weather.

Another Fausett

Okay I guess it's time to let the world know. Another baby will be joining our family soon. We have put off exposing this news, but I am starting to show a little. I am actually quite a ways along at 18 weeks and we already know what the sex of the baby is. We are very excited to be having a baby GIRL!!!
The kids have had mixed emotions about this new addition. Elena is concerned about having to share a room and picking up extra toys. As much as we assure her that we are not putting a baby in with an 8 year old, she still has reservations. I went shopping for a couple friends that just had baby girls and showed her the clothes. That actually got her really excited to go shopping for a new baby girl. She will have so much fun dressing her up. Noah has actually been the most excited and inquisitive of the bunch. I have already had to explain what a uterus, placenta, and umbilical cord are and how they work. He thinks it is hilarious that the baby is naked inside and when we went to the ultrasound, I asked what everyone thought of that and from the far backseat he exclaimed, "THAT WAS AWESOME!" Rex thinks it is fun to lay his head on my belly and he puts books on it like he is reading to the baby. He has already named the baby "Pinkle"(rhymes with twinkle).

For the Love of "Costco"

Noah is my early riser and most mornings it gives me a chance to talk one on one with him as we lay in bed. The conversations you can have with a five year old at 6:00am are priceless. This morning was no exception.
N: "Why can't Grandpa and Grandma live in Las Vegas?"
A: "Yeah, That would be fun." "Did you know that when you get married and have kids, I will be the Grandma?"
N: "I need to get a license before I have babies."
A: "Yeah that would probably help."
N: "And a wallet, and a Costco card."

Noah apparently knows the necessities of being a good parent. I love that kid.
