I know we all wonder what our kids would really do in an emergency. Mine apparently need some more practice. Last night as we were frantically trying to get out the door, I was hurriedly getting food ready to feed Jill so we could leave. I opened the microwave door to get her food out and left it opened so I could put another bowl back in. Well, as I turned to get the other bowl the door had swung totally open and as I turned around BAM!! I smacked my face right into the edge of the door. I thought I had broken my nose and it threw me back and I landed on the floor. ( I know you all are totally laughing right now.) Anyways Elena, Noah, and Rex were all standing there while I laid on the kitchen floor with my hand over my face. They all came and stood over me but Noah was the only one that kneelt down and asked if I was ok. After watching me lay there for awhile, Elena went into our bedroom to tell Ben who eventually came out only to offer me a hand off the ground and see that I was conscious. Finding that yes, I was still alive he walked into the other room to finish whatever he was doing. (Thanks Ben for the sympathy)
Now I know I am exagerating alittle, but what if I had really been knocked out? Now I know I can't count on my kids to be too concerned. So if you are ever in an emergency I hope that it is not my kids that are the only people around. It could take awhile to get help.
Oh yeah my nose still hurts today but its not broken, just a little bruised. That still didn't stop us from making an appearance at the Quick Care that night. Yes, only 2 hours later we were at the Quick Care with Rex. He's ok too!

Ninja Noah
Noah is just finishing up his first season of soccer. He has really loved it. He had two friends on his team, Trey and Walker. Ben was the coach. I don't know who was more excited Noah or Ben! Ben was thrilled to be back out on the soccer field.

Halloween 2009
Halloween lasted all weekend this year. First there was parties and a parade at school on Thursday(we didn't have school on Friday due to Nevada Day). Then Elena had her slumber party(what was I thinking). Especially because this year I throw a Halloween party with a friend on Friday night. I've wanted to do one for years and this year was perfect with it being on a weekend. We had a great time. After the party I was ready for Halloween to be over but we still had trick-or-treating to do on Saturday night. I'm exhausted!!!

You may not be able to read it, but it said "Blood Bar". It was a big hit!
The labels were awesome. Rex wouldn't even drink the Sprite because it said "Zombie Virus".
Thanks to everyone that brought food. In the middle you can see my pumpkin vomiting guacamole.
This was Noah's favorite game. It was a huge "spider web" that had to be unraveled to find a clue at the end. It was insanity in the dining room while it was going on.

This year was a blast. Thank goodness it is over, now what do I do with all this candy?????

Elena's B-day !
Does it seem like sometimes we drag out birthday's for days? That's how Elena's felt this year. I think she really enjoyed it. Here are some highlights of the day.
Just like a true girl, laying on her bed in a totally messy room, talking on the phone.
She wanted to go to Red Robin for dinner.

She is into music right now. She got her own cd player and of course a new cd. Her favorite Taylor Swift. She also had a slumber party on thursday night. Our first and possibly our last! I forgot to take pictures. Happy Birthday Bug!

The Great Sad Pumpkin Patch!
We only have one true pumpkin patch in Vegas where you can actually cut a pumpkin from the vine. Luckily it is down the street. Unluckily it has been hot all the way up until well, NOW. All the vines were brown and dead and there were very few pumpkins (we even went the opening day). It didn't matter though because it is all for the experience, right!
